I would love to get a sw box set, but the prices are way out of my budget for now (plus I kind of would like to be able to see the stuff inside).  So I'm trying to find an open box in excellent condition.  I'm seeing a complete box set for sale now listed as Mint.  But the S2 module has only the cover, no booklet.  Seller says that a production error caused this and it is considered complete.  I have my doubts so I've been looking online for any mention of this anywhere else.  But, I can find no discussion of it happening.

So, did the  S2 module not have the booklet when these were assembled?  Or was the seller just really unlucky? Or, possibly, it was lost/damaged and he doesn't want to replace it?

Some errors make stuff worth more. Some errors make stuff worth a lot less.

Even if there were documented, shrink-wrap-youtube-box-breaks, demonstrating there were error other boxes, this error would make it worth less.

Like getting a booster box with no rares, its an error, but less desirable.

This error could also be easily duplicated. At the right price? Buy it and buy the S2 separately.

I'm noticing this "mint" issue with a few of these Anniversary boxes.  The description will say New or Mint condition, but then in the pictures there is a corner of the box that is obviously quite damaged.  There are at least 2 different listings up now with this happening.  I'm all for buyer beware and do your own checking, but when the box is obviously damaged, and they provide the pictures showing the damage, how can they justify listing it as such and ask a premium price?!?!

I picked up a shrink box for £220 about 2 months ago. Be patient and you'll get something reasonable.

Monitoring the market for them I find demand is not consistent & the odd one finds auction expiry at a relatively low price
