It's appears to be the 1st print of the UK softcover Player's Handbook.  It's not that rare, but it is rare to find it in decent condition.

This one is probably in FN condition, but it's hard to tell with the pictures and description provided.  If that is actually damage to the cover, and not price sticker residue, then it would not be in FN condition.

Hope people weren't bidding on this, thinking that it was some previously unknown printing of the Player's Handbook.

I wouldn't mind one of these but the 1st prints are indeed hard(ish) to get - part of the problem is that you cannot tell from the cover and people don't post pics of the copyright page that much. You can end up with a lot of 2nd prints
