Mark your calendar now!

Free RPG Day

Now is a great time to contact your FLGS if they haven't already signed up to participate.  The sign up deadline is April 25th (while supplies last!).

Each year seems to offer slightly less interesting stuff, but sometimes things are better than they appear....   :?

No one I know who owns a store has ever participated since the return is less than what they are charged for the material.

Hope things will be back to normal by June 13 and this will be on! In other news I am looking for a new condition copy of the first Pathfinder Goblins module "We be Goblins!". I have Free RPG stuff to trade or will purchase.

FREE RPG Day has been moved to July 25th.  I tried finding a retailer near me, but the site doesn't reveal any retailers anywhere at this time.  I wonder if the event will happen at all?   :?

Shops could do curbside pickup or shipping if this happens, but not having anything shown yet on the site for products is new. I missed out last year so I hope this year somethings come out.

Update!  Apparently, FREE RPG DAY will happen, and it's coming relatively soon (July 25th).  And they've just started showing who their participants are and what they are offering.  The pickings this year are particularly slim and grim, but I think they are still revealing who all and what all is coming.  Still, something is better than nothing, right?   :(

I went to my FLGS for this.  They had a some interesting stuff.  Seemed like better quality than I've seen at the last few events.  My local store changed their policy for the free items this year though.  Usually you could take two or three free items.  This year you could take one, and then if you bought a certain dollar amount of product you got two free items, then if you signed up to their newsletter you got three free items, etc.   Which is probably the smartest way for a store to do it.  They usually have game tables set up during this event but obviously, that wasn't possible this time around.

Good news is the store seemed busy.  Plenty of folks coming in.  Another sign that the world is coming back to life.  More good news, fortunately I was able to get my customary free RPG day dice.  I have this weird fetish for these, and I try to get one every year.  I have managed to get dice for 5 years of RPG day so far.

I got some of the dice. Root RPG starter book and a bunch of the DCC stuff. Glad I went.

From the items they had this year (still bummed I missed last year) that I've read so far, can say Humblewood is good, Roots not my cup of tea and Junior Braves Survival Guide is good (Kids on Bikes stuff has been a great surprise).
Side Note: Noble Knight is now selling this stuff online in their 1 cent promotions.
