Just a heads-up for everyone: I plan on moving the site to a different web host at some point this weekend, time and energy permitting.  When that happens, I'll lock the forum in order to move the database.  When the new server resolves and everything is functional again, the forum will be open for business.  This could be as little as a few hours to a few days, as I'm attempting to configure the new server myself instead of having professionals do it.  We'll see how that goes.

Worst case, I can always revert back to the current host, but I'm going to give this a good college try before I do so.  In short, be prepared for possible significant downtime of the forum and web site through this holiday weekend.  Wish me luck.  I would suggest that when visiting the site to check if it's still down, that you press CTRL-F5 in your browser to clear the cache; otherwise the "forum locked" message may appear when in fact it's functional.

The good news is that the new server is both bigger and quite a bit faster, and cheaper to boot (because of the absence of the previously-mentioned professionals).

Well, we're back... I think.  A million apologies for the extended downtime.  As I somewhat suspected, this move was quite painful.  In short, we went from a managed server ( = technical support help) to an unmanaged one ( = completely up to me to fix things).  I could rant for hours on the complete mess that is the Linux operating system; nothing works correctly out-of-the-box, and 95% of the "advice" that you find on the Internet is either outdated or completely incorrect.  Anyways.

There's still a multitude of problems to be ironed out, but from my brief tests, the main website and the forum appear to be functioning correctly.  If you notice something NOT working right, please post a reply to this thread. One of the still-unresolved issues is my email accounts, so I may not receive messages you're sending.

I noticed they "popped back in" on the initial forum view, but that's just because I dumped the cache.  Is everything appearing correctly to you now?

I am running into the same issue as lippy.  Everything but the Acaeum logo at the top in the background is white:



I tried clearing my cache and nothing. I was having the same issue last night and tried clearing my cookies as well and that didn't work either. You can probably tell this already by my post, but in case it matters, I'm currently on Firefox version 68.0.2

Looks good now.
