Orange flyleafs, 232 Pages, layers of white and yellowed pages indicating it is rebound. The first 16 pages have truncated headers. The text on page 99 is NOT at an angle. Endpapers are NOT pasted over unless done flawlessly. ISBN and TSR Games is on spine. ISBN is NOT on the title page.

PICTURES IN COMMENTS ALSO :)

the score runs from chin to wrist

Wow!

Neato. I have been looking for an anomaly like this for years!

I'd love to look at the photos! Please email them to me at stormber@cox.net.

We've had this come up before fairly recently but not quite like yours.

Weird DMG: Exactly like 4th Print, but has ISBN in 2 places.

&

Lighter-weight, flexible but rough-covered 6th Print  DMG?

With the different sized pages, my hypothesis of there being two different printers for the DMGs at this time is now probably blown out of the water. Because it looks like you have both page sizes in the same book. Are the first 16 pages thinner also than the rest of them?

It comes up frequently and has been verified by several sources that inconsistencies with the various Box Sets were just TSR people putting the stuff together and using up what was available. I've done production (not in gaming stuff) and I know first hand that a lot of odd stuff gets done and it's always about money or meeting a deadline.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's what is going on with these later than 3rd print DMGs that have been posted on here.

Transitional stuff and errors are a big deal ($$$$) in some other avenues of collecting, unfortunately that's not the case with D&D items (at least not yet) with a very few notable exceptions. Still, yours is very cool.

Different from what you have but check this out if you'd like. There are at least three different variations of the 1st print DMG according to what was discussed here.

DMG 1st Print Alpha, Beta, and Gamma
