Jeff Grubb wrote a complete worldbook for Known World of Mystara, adapting the BECMI D&D setting to AD&D 2E. But then upper management canceled the book after he'd already written it. Which was the reason Jeff quit TSR (or rather, the straw that broke the camel's back).

Only one hardcopy of this AD&D Mystara worldbook exists - an unedited (but complete) manuscript. Some years ago, Jeff Grubb mailed the manuscript to Shawn Stanley, the webmaster of the Vaults of Pandius - the Official Mystara Fan-Site. I've corresponded with Shawn, and he explained that he has refrained from posting or sharing the manuscript because of legitimate concerns that Hasbro's eye would be drawn to the long-standing Fan Site policy, if he were to blithely post a "bootleg" manuscript. Shawn contacted WotC to ask for permission to scan and post the manuscript, but no one at WotC even responded.

So, I and others have decided to try to move the ball forward, with a public petition, asking WotC to allow the manuscript to be posted. Shawn has kindly agreed to post the manuscript if WotC would simply say "yes." Furthermore, Jeff Grubb contacted us, and has offered to write a new intro to the manuscript if this petition succeeds!

So would my fellow Acaeum members consider signing our petition? We have over 500 signatures so far, but we're aiming for 1000!
