While anything is possible in the land of eBay, with these sets being opened and used, $200 seems way high to me. I would not expect to get anything more than $50-$60 tops for both sets total($25-$30 each). Even if they were in their unopened bags, I think you'd have difficulty getting $200.

Brand new, unopened sets of dragon dice(which seems as if there been lots around lately) usually only sees $100 each set.

Those look like cheesex dice, of which unless I am wrong are still in production and fairly common:

eBay listings

Your low impact dice are likely to net you more, in my estimation.

Fwiw, one thing I am not, is a dice expert by any stretch though, so it is probably good to wait for some others to chime in, too.

A few sets have come close or hit the $100 mark lately. List them separately (two listings with one set each) for $100 BIN and in your title put "Original D&D TSR Basic Set Dice 1970's". You can add the Top Secret to it if you want (it is accurate) but I doubt it'll add much exposure to your listing.

I'm not much on Chessex either but you can join the Dice Maniacs Group on Facebook, if you're on it - they'll tell you exactly what's up with them.

Good Luck

I don't know if the OP is still checking in on this Post but I thought this was interesting enough to share. Someone had 2 Basic sets and two spares and sold them in lots for each die type.

I'd say they did ok on them

Just sold my set of original Chessex on eBay for $250!
I think I paid $5 for them back in the early 2000's...

With that in mind, can you really afford NOT to invest in this set of future collectibles?

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Any day now, something in its mix of plastics & dyes could be seized by some government somewhere, turning everyone who bought the dice into men of leisure from the profits. Act now to avoid disappointment!

That's just fantastic!  And it settles it: I'm listing mine in the morning.
