I stopped collecting and following Jim Raggi last year, hence i have no clue on what has happened... He usually did great items for free rpg day in the past years... Does anyone heard about what has happened?

It's a very weird thing, business. LotFP had incredible growth (best year for sales ever, with almost 25% over 2017 in terms of gross sales in euros), but also a number of setbacks. We're right at that "too big to be small, way too small to be big" point of havoc. We got 9 books out this past year, but most of them were smaller projects. We had production issues on a couple, some of which made it into the final product. Bigger projects are just now getting into the pipeline, but chokepoints and setbacks delayed many projects, and we've lost a few because things were taking so long.
To alleviate some of this I hired a couple people (one full, one part-time) towards the end of the year. I think I could use a half dozen more full-timers to get projects out the door in more timely manner, but at this point in the company's growth just one and a half salaries (plus my expenses) are a risk.
2019 has to be a year of organizing the production process so everything flows better.
But more importantly..The environment out there is rough. This year the industry had a bit of a scandal resulting in death threats and we had to get security at Gen Con, we had a minor censorship riff with a distributor, and a bit of a political scandal which resulted in some people not wanting to work for LotFP anymore.
There was even a company that threatened to pull out of 2018's Free RPG Day preview unless they could preview our offering and "allowed" it only on the condition that we don't participate in 2019. I don't know if we'll have our shit together to do something this year anyway, but if we do and this becomes an issue... well, the people behind Free RPG Day are also the people who run my retail distribution, so won't that be fun to raise a ruckus.
I expect all of these things to keep happening.
This does highlight how more and more of LotFP's sales are dependent on the much larger companies we work with, and is increasingly so as international postage rates rise. That can only end in disaster, sooner or later.
Really, I'm stuck in the 80s still trying to stick it to Pat Pulling, Tipper Gore, and Mary Whitehouse. And there are a lot of new Pullings and Gores and Whitehouses, and they don't wear the clothing they used to. LotFP as such has no political position or agenda beyond exploring certain weird and macabre aesthetics for the purposes of playing make-believe and presenting the results to the public without hindrance.

Wouldn't recommend reading too deep into it but this chap has worked on Flame Princess stuff and had a credit in the 5E Player's Handbook among other things. Short version is he's not a very nice guy and it goes wàaaaaaaay beyond some of the "inappropriate but these old guys are just like that" behaviour that we have recently seen in the gaming industry
