Howdy all, i have a proposal to make this place even better than today: why dont we list down a bibliography to be added to the sections of the site. I am not referring to appendix "x" of the original authors buy to the books that have been writtenin the recent past with rpgs as the main topic... I have in mind a list with palying at the world as the first entry...

The reason behind this proposal is that i found this book during a search (a different topic!) and i find it useful to share  this here... But it could be better if a section could gather all the titles we know...

This is the book: Storytelling in the Modern Board Game: Narrative Trends from the Late 1960s ... - Marco Arnaudo - Google Libri

Great idea.
I'm always looking for inspirational reading.
I like a lot of the stuff that's tangentially connected to rpgs  as well; wargames stuff particularly. I like the stories of the people involved in these things back in the day, it gives me a  warm fuzzy feeling inside!

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

Phil Dunn's Sea Battle Games Naval Wargaming 1650-1945 - John Curry, Phil Dunn - Google Books

Found this one at the used book store.  Appropriate with my interest in DGUTS.

For instance, what about this? Designers & Dragons

Was any of these books ever published?

Yes, all four volumes were published up through the 00s---Black Blade used to sell them.  I think Shannon is working on the next book, and I'm not sure if they're he is still planning to publish via Evil Hat or not, offhand.  Will ask next time we email.

Yes, that was the first version (IIRC it was in both a signed/limited edition and trade hardcover edition??).  It was from 2007 or so, and the Evil Hat edition significantly expanded it.

Allan.
