True Detective season 3 has a mocked up AD&D hardcover in one of the first episodes. It's pretty cool looking. I'm curious if anyone recognizes the cover art. It's calling to me but I can't place it, so it may be original.

Juan Moore (the artist who did the covers) recently posted to Instagram:

The actual prop is correct. The images aren't. While the spine likely would have been corrected prior to the book being made up as a prop, small things like the spelling errors in the back cover blurb wouldn't be.

Looking at the screen cap, I rather wished the supermodules as well as Lankhmar were published in hardback, rather than softcover. I'm assuming though that it was too expensive to do.

I agree that the covers look amazing and all, but If one would be in a nitpicking mood though, one could argue that the later-era first edition logo on the Leng module wasn't used as early as 1980 (when that part of the series takes place). Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
