Hi guys:
I have found a copy of Star Probe with a 1974 copyright date. All of the postings I have seen about this indicate a 1975 copyright date.
The front cover shows Tactical Studies Rules as the publisher rather than TSR. The map also has a 1974 copyright date.
Condition is good, with some underlining. Two small small cards with 5 ships on each. Cards are 2 inches by 4 inches. The ship counters in my 1975 edition are 3 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches. No blank counters, No log sheets.
It was in an a plastic bag with
Its possible the ship cards are not original to the games.
Any thoughts or opinions ? Value?
I figure if anyone in the world would know about this it would be the denizens of this forum.

I don't know the answers to your questions, but my copy is also dated 1974 and has Tactical Studies Rules spelled out on the front.

The ship cards are original if they look like the ones in this picture:

There should also be a large star map.

Two printings, then.
Mine is a "TSR GAMES" with a 1975 date. It does keep the date for the 'forward' of 1 September 1974.
Printed by "graphic printing corporation" of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin 53147 if that helps anyone.

Hi guys:
Thanks for the help.
I do have the map (one 1974 and one 1975). I do have those counters( in two different sizes, one for each year I guess)
Anything else that should be present in the 1974 version? I have seen a 1975 for sale with log sheets, but am not sure the 1974 version had them.
This is the place to go for this ancient TSR information.
