In my experience having the original low-impact dice included with any of the original boxed sets boosts the price of the boxed set by about $50, although I have seen some boxed sets with original dice go for more than $100 over the average price of a boxed set without dice...

In my post linked below, some wooden d6's are included. I remember seeing these wooden d6's in the 1970's along with the D&D  brown box and early whitebox D&D sets. Does anyone elese here recall these rather sorry looking wooden d6's?

They didn't as far as I know, but the Holmes set did, which is also OD&D, even if it got a bit rewritten to push the upcoming AD&D.

I still have one of my early d20s that I bought in a package by The Armory, here in Baltimore, that look quite similar to if not a match for the one in the photo. Wether they were made by The Armory, or by someone else and packaged under the name I do not know. TA was a sizable distributor, so either could be.

If the d20 has a letter 'g' on one of the sides, that would be Gamescience. I think they did the 'n'+ die as well, but I'm no authority on polyhedrals.

Wasn't Noble Knight Games selling original, unopened packets of 1970s TSR dice for $12.50 a few years ago?

If by "few" you mean 10 or so,  yes...  They started somewhere in the past (more than 10 years ago) and after a couple of years they raised it at 25 dollars...  Then i believe they finished the stock.
