stebehil wrote in worth of rulebooks without boxes:I have searched the site and the forum, but either my google-fu is weak, or this has not been covered as a specific topic. I happen to own a UK/GW (probably 4th print - has Halflings in the text, but no prices on the backside, although the catalogue seems pretty extensive to me) Holmes basic rulebook, which to my knowledge was sold separately, and an expert rulebook of the B/X (Moldvay/Cook) edition. I´m trying to give the items in my collections an estimated worth, as I´m at a point right now that I consider an insurance for it. How could the worth of these items be estimated? Should the Expert rulebook seen as Fair, because the box is missing? As the book itself is in Very Fine condition (might be Near Mint even), this seems off. Any ideas, hints or a pointer to a discussion of this topic?
