Is there anyone on here who is quite knowledgeable about the World of Greyhawk, and its detailed history?

The first question will be, "What do you want to know?" Nothing specific... I'm interested in it all.

The Acaeum's history of the Greyhawk folio and boxed set are @ World of Greyhawk but they detail the publishing history of those products, rather than the setting.

There are lots of good, useful Greyhawk resources out there in the web, Techman. Which are most-useful does depend on what you want to research. Do you mean in-universe history, or our world's history of its creation? I ask because if you walk into a bar in the City of Greyhawk & start talking about Gygaxes or Arnesons, some angry drunk is going to get in your face & tell you that the gods don't exist, that the inhabitants of his world evolved naturally over billions of years & are nobody's intellectual property or whatever. Then probably a hobbit will look up from his cloud of pipeweed to jump into a fight with the atheist over religion. Someone will chime in with a complaint that you mentioned the forbidden, pagan idolatry of the old god Arneson, & will douse you with holy water that might be something nastier than holy water. Plus, are we talking about a bar that serves half-orcs?

I was doing mass internet searches, but how would I know who is the true source on the web? It's the reason I came here because I trust this site more than anyone else.

Well, there's not really a single source go-to site for Greyhawk, and it really does depend in a large part on what era of Greyhawk you want to dig into, as to where you'll go (to piggy-pack on sauromatian's comments). Merrick Blackman's "A Short Introduction to the World of Greyhawk" article is as good a quick intro as I can think of to the setting's history, but some of the specific details have been superseded by more-recent research: Part 1 @ Canonfire! - A Short Introduction to the World of Greyhawk and Part 2 @ Canonfire! - A Short Introduction to the World of Greyhawk - part 2

Thanks. The problem with Greyhawk is that there's not really any single place to go as _the_ source for good, accurate information across the full span of histories/eras for the setting. And there's not really a good introductory site/page that accurately details the setting's publications and history, as well as its in-game environs/details. My site, like several other good ones, offers detailed information on certain topics, but nothing on others.

Perhaps I'll write a book someday

You're welcome! This other Greyhawk blog has consolidated some of the other Greyhawk sites which is convenient. I like how he does a basic breakdown of the different eras to him. Now that would be really cool with more details.

I love all the eras of Greyhawk equally. I break my own campaigns down into three distinct eras which had their own highlights.
Golden Age Greyhawk: (1st Edition Gygax-hawk)
Silver Age Greyhawk: (2nd Edition Sargent-hawk)
Current Age Greyhawk: (Mona-Holian-hawk)

Watched part of this video from Greyhawk Mike's blog, and it was kind of cool.
