Outside of the fully produced LC series books, there were a couple that seemed less so - LC5 to A Player's Guide to the Living City Campaign (Version 1 and 2), and LC6 to Living City Campaign, Procampur Expansion Packet.  I've seen a copy of LC5 v.1 before, and it was just a bunch of loose pages on a cardboard backing with a rudimentary shrinkwrapping - I've never seen the other two releases.

Does anybody know how these were given out or sold?  Were they exclusive to a convention/tournament, or were they available to the general public for sale via retail store?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I believe they were given out through the RPGA, at various large-scale conventions that ran LC events.

I got mine at a GENCON in Milwaukee, when they were running LC events, without any cardboard backing or shrinkwrap [LC5].

Thanks, Overlord.  Given the details of the LC5 copy that I've also seen, your take on it makes sense.

I think we figured out that there were (at least) three versions of LC5. But I may be remembering wrong. Searching past threads would probably find the conversation.


Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games
