I would be very wary of buying from him. I purchased a Chivalry and Sorcery book from him only a month ago - and despite enquiring *in advance* if the spine was OK (as these are often split and loose in early C&S games), and being reassured, it turned up completely split open, ripped half way up the middle with pages falling out everywhere. He claimed it must have happened in transit but I find that very hard to believe; it was, somewhat ironically, well packaged.  

Buyer beware!!

I've only had good experiences buying from packripper.  I know he has multiple auctions for the same product, but in varying conditions.  Perhaps he accidentally mixed a "fair" version with a "g/vg" version?

I am sorry to hear about your experience. He does seem to keep photos to a minimum. But who is this guy and where did he get all this stuff!?

Well i feel like i have to defend myself .
I did not make an error in shipping the item and it was in good shape when it left here .
It went all the way to England and i am assuming it was either transported in a hot environment or very cold or was thrown .
He never asked for a return thru e-bay which is the way it has to work for protection for both sides .
I take Basic pictures but try to be very descriptive and if anyone needs any other pictures or has questions i always provide them .

My overall assumption is that, as you list a ton of items, this was just a mistake on your part.

You did offer to return but for a low priced item it is simply not worth my costs shipping it back to you.
If this had been a more expensive item - like some you list - then you would have definitely got it back.

It was because I specifically asked you about the spine and pages in advance, and then received your assurance, that I was annoyed to open a package and find pages spilling out.
As a collector I am sure that I am more sensitive to condition than people who just want a play copy - but this was billed as "Clean and Solid Book" with an intact spine/pages and it wasn't.

For what it's worth, I am happy to chalk it up to experience. My (unsolicited) advice is to be a bit more careful with your descriptions.

I have bought from him at NTRPGcon.  Friendly guy, I am confident he would not knowingly try to misrepresent any item.

Bought from Ingo on Ebay, FB and at NTRPGcon. Several purchases and have all been exactly as described and no issues. I assume it as Ingo points out, some sort of postal issue.

Ingo is a nice guy, and I'm sure he would not have intentionally misrepresented his item. Chivalry & Sorcery 1st prints are notorious (like Unearthed Arcana hardcovers) for having spine issues. Which is probably why Red Bus asked the question. If I had to guess, Ingo probably looked at the spine from the side, without checking from the top, and then the book got worse from brutish handling.

To be fair, I believe it's on the seller to get the item in stated shape to the buyer, so if you're reading this Ingo, I think you should refund his money. The cost of shipping is now more than the book is worth.
