Anyone collecting the 5e books? I know they're still available new, and I'm starting to see them on sale. I've played 5e and the revisions/updates make for a good time.

I know the new miniatures are collectible as well.

Only thing I have so far is the Starter set and the PHB.

Was out of collecting for a bit, going to get back in soon.

Have been collecting images and product codes for the Wiki.

Dave, get the barbarian in the corner a drink, quick!

I've been purchasing 5E-related items since the release of D&D Next (modules, starter box set, books, spell book cards, and screens).  I am not a miniatures guy so I have not been chasing down the miniatures from Gale Force Nine.  Unlike the vast majority of my collection, I am actually using most of the material in the 5E game I run. :)

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

I do buy them all, but there's not a lot to collect, per se. If you rule out Gale Force 9's licensed products, there's only the starter set, DM screen, 12 hardbacks and a couple of promos. Minis is a whole different story... I don't keep up with all of those.

Is Dragonspear Castle a collectible yet?  That's about all that comes to mind.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

I'd say so, to some degree.  They're usually always available with people asking $75-$100 on them.  With just a little patience you can get one in the $50-$60 range. Original price on them was $30 so that's some decent appreciation. The limited edition version of Volo's Guide to Monsters is already going a little nuts, regularly selling for $75-$100. If you think you're gonna want one at some point I'd get it now. It's a pretty good book and a really cool cover. Alliance has been out of them almost from the start and I don't think we'll see them going anywhere but up in the future. Cloud Giant's Bargain was WAAAAAAY overprinted and available for a couple of bucks. Don't see it doing much collector-wise.

I agree with blackdougal. Get one now while you can, it was only printed once and brick and mortar store exclusive. In fact go buy the one I just listed in the classifieds section!  :D  :D
