No, it mostly fits in with the other contemporary manuals. TSR didn't start regularly adding printing # information until mid-1987; the identified prints before then is just stuff that we have noted as changed. There's quite possibly some identifying info for earlier prints if you were to look hard enough... though probably few folks have ten copies of the Monster Manual II to reference.
Alternately, they didn't bother changing anything in the MM2 between 1983-1987; they just cranked out the same book every nine months or so (even with the other manuals, most of the differences we note between printings are pretty minor through the 1980s).
