I won this auction and I know a couple of you saw it as well, may have even bid on it, but be glad you didn't.
Here is the link to the auction:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Attached is what I got.... I requested a refund but am not a happy camper since what was a great deal is now a pile of crap.

If any of you dealt with this dude after he discovered that the deal was too good for the buyer and got it after the fact, Congrats, but if he is attempting to sell it to you outside of eBay, beware.

His Ebay ID is: connorlyons  .......Should be Lyin' Connor

I'm offering up the 2 sided screen in the appraisal and classifieds if you're still looking, along with the 4 sides one too.

Cheers
Dave

Even if the seller states "no returns," you can still "force" return it under eBay/Paypal procedures as item "not as described." It's a bit of a hassle going to the post office but at least you get your money back. I'm not sure why eBay even allows sellers to list with a "no return" policy when eBay will "force" them to accept returns anyway.

I've found it better to go with the ebay or paypal adjudication from the start.

It is amusing to see sellers who post that there will be no returns under any circumstances or that buyers are responsible for damages during shipping but it might convince a few unhappy customers not to try, but, really,  the seller has no choice in the matter.

When you mail-order or e-order it is the same as buying in a shop except that instead of crossing a counter the seller hires a service to cross the counter and deliver the item to the buyer. The item needs to be the same as advertised and in the same condition. The buyer doesn't know if the seller put a different item in the package, damaged the item in packing, or if the seller's hired service damaged the item as it crossed the counter or even if the seller shipped a box of air or empty packing. The seller, not the buyer, is responsible for the trip across the counter and the safe delivery of the item. The buyer can always get his money back for damaged, misrepresented or missing items no matter what the seller says in an sales or auction posting, especially about who is responsible for the carrier (the seller hires the carrier and is always responsible, shipping insurance protects the seller and is meant for the seller, not the buyer; the buyer is protected by paypal and perhaps their credit card company).

That being said honest sellers get hit by dishonest or just bad buyers and are much better protected by going through the paypal return process than just accepting returns as part of their policy and it doesn't seem to have an effect on sales.

I did get my case resolved as fast as possible in my favor- I just filed a complaint with ebay that it was not the one in the pictures and they agreed within an hour (after the requisite "contact the seller and try and work it out")

I've rarely looked at this guy's auctions and thankfully never bought from him so I don't know if Coug's changed his spiel over time, but this is hilariously stupid or maybe stupidly hilarious..

PLEASE EMAIL ME DIRECT IF ANYTHING EVER WRONG, AS OPENING AS RES CENTER CASE FOR ANY REASON WILL IMMEDIATELY ADD A BLACK MARK CALLED A DEFECT ON MY ACCOUNT, I WILL SORT ANYTHING WRONG IF GIVEN A CHANCE. THANK YOU.
Please note I am selling a huge amount of items this week as loss leaders, I will make NOTHING on these by the time I have paid ebay listing fees, FVF (final valuation fee) and pay pal base and % fees, not to mention covering the free UK P&P or the itms intial purchase price.   I am clearing the decks & shelves to make way for new stock coming in, so please no complaints  no low DSR or bad FB as I am ONLY doing this for nothing to get +FB & 5/5 dsr.    as ever if anything wrong please email me direct NOT via resolution centre , happy to help, but remember I am making nothing on these items atall so no way / fund available for partial refunds, RTS for refund if unhappy, but as paying next to nothing for the item I would be surprised if anything wrong?
please note new ebay policy starting Feb 2016 will mean that the most important thing about feedback you can leave is the arrived by date.   This will effect my selling ability/ account, so please make sure you mark it with in time, or email me if anything wrong BEFORE leaving a late record.   Remember unless you pay for tracked courier/  RM service (few do?)  it goes using the base / basic RM services.    Once I entrust the parcels to the RM its no more my fault if its delivered late than it is yours? is it?   so please consider when leaving this new silly ebay requirement.   and if you want something timed/ delivered by certain date please pay for the service upgrade/ ask if not shown.   Its actually best to not lave any  arrived by option thaan to  say its was late delveired ~ by the postal/ courier services.   Wreck their companies, not mine, thanks for understanding.
