Hello everyone:

I am pleased to officially announce that we will be holding an auction this year at GHC (November 4-6 in Madison, WI) and plan to continue to do so going forward.  It is called a "collector's auction" for a reason.  While not being focused exclusively on rares, the auction will not take common items such as those seen in larger auctions.  You can keep your used but nice copies of Keep on the Boarderlands at home for this one.    I will be pulling lots of things out of my collection for the auction.  Several of my collector friends have committed to doing the same.  

There will be several features to our auction that I think will be attractive to the membership here.  First of all, the auction will only charge 15% to sellers.  Second, one half of the proceeds (7.5% of each sale) will go to the Acaeum.  The other 50% will go to GHC to help offset our costs and to our charitable partner.  

Details -- the auction will take place on Saturday night at 8:00.  Frank Mentzer has graciously agreed to MC our event.  Those wishing to submit something for the auction can do so at the main registration desk.  We will be paying those sellers immediately after the auction either via PayPal or check.
