But how did you find your packages were in dead mail in the first place? And how did you eventually get the packages out of Postal Purgatory?Right now I'm guessing you had to call the postal service to see what happened and then pay the shipping yourself, would that be right? If so, did you get reimbursed by the shipper?

In one case, the post office had recorded my address differently than my landlord had it marked on the house and mailbox. In another case, the post office had returned mail for me to the senders, marking it "Address Does Not Exist." So maybe your post office has somehow mis-recorded your address.

It is interesting to note the package was entirely composed of gaming modules (LofFP, Chaotic Henchmen, and a few others) so at least in this case, these items were considered media mail.Mike B.
