Using the "sold" listings on eBay is a good way to determine the current value of most items.  It does not work well for super rare items that rarely sell on eBay, for example.  Anyway, if you are patient, you should be able to get it for less.

Looking at what these items sold for on eBay is one of the better ways to determine its likely value.  Looking at what they are offered/listed for is not.  Make sure you take into consideration the shipping costs, reputation of the buyer, condition, etc..
