FoulFoot wrote in Introduce Yourself, Fellow Collectors:Glad you mentioned that, Thork... looks like Google has blacklisted the main site.  The forum still pulls up (weakly), but the main site has been wiped.

Google is a pain.

Did they provide you with any reason why you were blacklisted, Scott?

I know that they are changing their ranking algorithms to favor mobile-friendly sites (and those changes to into effect today*), but I didn't think that those changes resulted in blacklisting.

The Acaeum is mostly mobile-friendly, especially if you use ForumRunner.  So that's probably not it.

Google arbitrarily blacklists sites all the time.  They did it to this site a few years ago, but I petitioned and got reinstated.  I'll petition again, but no guarantees.  The web is rife with webmasters complaining, "what did I do wrong?"

The Internet would be a lot better off without Google, frankly.  Unfortunately, they have a search monopoly, and they abuse it.

Startpage.com

Yeah, they use a Screwgle scraper, but it's more fun doing a search semi-anonymously.
