It is now it's time for our third, Limited Edition, Classic AD&D Art Project! The Limited Edition Art Committee is proud to announce that our next featured artist will be….drum roll….Larry Elmore!  The committee has a signed contract, and he's excited to be on board.

The Acaeum Limited Edition Art Committee (ALEAC) is composed of Badmike, myself, grodog, Burntwire Brothers, and PaulKM.  This next print will be in color, the same dimensions as the Otus print (17" x 24"), but a higher price, probably around $180.  The printing process will match the quality of the Erol Otus and Jeff Easley print.  It is hoped to have this art available for the 2015 NTRPG CON.

The content of the art will be old school AD&D--something one would see gracing a module or manual cover--an adventuring party battling an old school monster.  The word "Acaeum" will appear in the piece.  Each piece will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

The number of prints will be limited to 75 but may be lower as the price increase may squeeze some participants out.  Priority will be given to those who participated in the last project first and regularly contribute to the Acaeum community.  Because of the anticipated lower demand, a person can request, but may not necessarily receive, up to two prints.  Allowing two print purchases by some members lowers the cost for everyone else.

The print number selection process will be similar to the last art project.  This process is not perfect.  Members of the committee receive little financial or tangible benefit from leading this project except that they have chosen to receive first dibs on print numbers.  People who participated in the last project and who are regular contributors to the Acaeum community or those who registered their interest before have been added to a "Loyalty List."  This is in appreciation for all in the Acaeum who supported us. If you are on this list, just state your intentions to participate (bold names have registered their interest already), and you'll know your likely print number (according to the Loyalty List #) and your guaranteed participation.  Registering your interest is not binding.  Anyone else can request to be included in this project, but Acaeum contributors will receive priority over those who are one-post-wonders.

Here's the Loyalty List:

So, please begin registering your interest on this thread (if your name is not listed or bold) and whether you would like to buy two prints.  :)

Send no money now.  The price of the art will depend primarily on the participation level and the printing company quote at this point.  As the non-binding participation list grows, and after the art is finished, a message will appear in this thread requesting payment, hopefully sometime in mid-March to mid-April.  Instructions will be given at that time as to where and how payment should be made.  As people pay or don't pay, the final print numbers will be determined, and people on the waiting list (if any) will be added in.  This project will largely mimic previous art projects.   8)
