starting a new thread here on some white metal miniature pieces that wound up never going into production/release from 1984.

I'm curious to know if any of you have seen any of these before.

As many of you know, TSR had an in-house miniature department for a short period. I believe the department was started in 1983 and was tasked with developing/sculpting/producing the white metal minis. It was shuttered towards the end of 1984 (maybe around October). I think around this time, other workers were being laid off too.

One blister pack of what would be three mini's that was being developed towards the end of the department was a pack of orcs. Some variants were part of the process in the design, so that is why there are photos of four orc mini's here. Unfortunately, on a couple of these ones the weapons had previously broken off. For instance, the orc gripping something over his head had been holding an axe. Also one of the arrows is partially missing from the orc bowman.

The other set I'm posting is one that was designed to be a galloping steed where different riders could be placed atop. The rider I have is the knight, but others were designed.
