Strange thing about bids on Ebay item

Noticed a strange thing about the bids on this item sold by our fellow member burntwire


** expired/removed eBay auction **


I've never seen a jump of $60 between two bids under $200. It jumps directly from $140 to $200. The current bid should it not be $142.50?

Did I miss something about Ebay automatic bids rules ?

the reserve would have been $200 and so it bid it up to the reserve..
