I just received a 1st edition
DMG that I thought was going to be a 1st print due to the D in the "Advanced" of Advanced D&D partially running off the cover.
I inspected the book and it's in wonderful condition. But no yellow-orange flyleaves and endpapers. It's a revised edition with all the hallmarks of a 6th Gama Print.
But the D in "Advanced" is partially running off the cover. It's a bit hard to see in the scan, but the "Dungeon Masters Guide" is at the very top of the book with no space. In fact, it appears the entire cover setting is moved up, leaving more space at the bottom of the book.
On the spine, the A in "Advanced" is moved up and running off the spine. The back cover is also moved up and more of the painting can be seen at the bottom.
Just a printing anomaly that was positioned incorrectly?
