Continuing the ancient traditions of the Acaeum, we will have a dinner on Wednesday night in Indianapolis for any and all forum members (and significant others and children) attending Gen Con.  If you can make it, please reply to this thread.  And if you have any suggestions as to a location, post them here.  I'll review the suggestions, pick a place, make a reservation and let everyone know.

And, if you haven't been counting . . . 39 days to go!

Devon and I will be there. We live in Indy and can give some ideas. What kind of food and what price range? Also how far the convention center are people willing to go? There are plenty of good places to eat close but getting reservations for large groups is sometimes a bitch. No cramped Buca this year please :)

[Updated] Sixteen so far:

Bracton
stratochamp + 3
ExTSR
Kaskoid
Prufrock
Blackmoor + 1
Invincible Overlord
bbarsh
burntwire brothers (2)
Ligmancer
increment

Not too shabby, but there's room for more . . . post if you can make it.

Still need some suggestions as to an actual restaurant.  Otherwise, you are leaving it to my whim, which is not a pretty thing.  I would think we would want someplace within reasonable walking distance, with a moderate price range for a sandwich or entree ($15 to $25 or so).  Let's hear some ideas!

I'd be happy to attend, and my vote is also for not Buca. I seem to remember the private room at the Rathskellar was much more suitable for this, if that is still an option.

I believe Scotty's Brewhouse closed.  Besides I tried to get in there last year but they would not take reservations.  They said it was a corporate policy.

We've got a vote for the Rathskeller, and a vote for, but doubt expressed about, Scotty's.  Any other suggestions?  Remember, you can't complain about the location if you don't offer ideas.   :P

Mark,
I just checked on Scotty's and the Downtown location did NOT close.  It was another location in Indy that closed.  So that is an option although as I stated they would not make a reservation for me last year.

To clarify, I was not voting for Scotty's. I was just searching for options close by.  I liked the rathskellar last time.

Rathskeller was cool since they provided a separate room.
