Hey guys-

I've got a number of TSR hardbacks on the shelf that I'd like to bag up.  Does anyone have a recommendations for a supplier for suitable bags for 1e AD&D hardbacks?

I think most of us get supplies online (Ebay or BagsUnlimited.com). I have bought some from a local comic book shop, but the majority for me have been online through Ebay. For hardbacks, I think they fit in the "sheet music" sized bags, so do a search on Ebay and you should be good to go. As with all my posts....just my 2 cents

I don't know specific part numbers but I am sure that both Gaylord and Hollinger Metal Edge, which manufacture supplies for archives and conservation, would have suitable bags and other storage containers as well.

Anyone have 2 cents to throw in about something like this:  Hollinger Metal Edge - Since 1945!

I throw the packs from electronics purchases into my battletech blisters tub, but what about books / long term indoor storage / display?  Worth the money or no?

Do you know your humidity levels where you keep your paper materials and do they fluctuate drastically?  If your levels are too high then yes, humidity control is definitely worth it to prevent mold and other issues.  Too dry is also a problem.  Your relative humidity should be about 35-45% with some minor fluctuations.  

If you are curious you can see the environmental control standards the national archives and records administration uses in the below link.  Obviously most of us are not in a position to have that kind of a control on where you keep your collections but it at least gives you an idea:
