Hola, guys!

Grey came over today and brought a bunch of boxes of really good stuff. He has quite a collection. One of the things he had perked my interest: it was a spiral bound 2nd Edition Player's Handbook. However, it had a clear plastic cover, and a white cover sheet which said "Office Only!". It had no markings in it, and it was NOT the exact same as the published Player's; there were many things in the published edition that were not in this one, although the format was identical.
I am thinking this might have been a pre-pub office copy, you know, the kind that TSR used to have as a reference copy that was not to be marked up. I asked him to scan the cover so hopefully he'll post it here. Thoughts?

I feel like I've seen prepubs like that before... maybe for 3E?  Not sure about 2E.  Not really of interest to me, so I didn't pay attention to value, but I think others would be in the market for it!

It looks similar to the ones(pre-pubs) that Nobleknight has up on eBay now for sale except it doesn't have any writing on the front(and its 2nd edition) in any font other than handwriting stating "office only!" and "player's handbook" in smaller hand writing. Who would go through all the trouble to make this when you could go out and buy a handbook for under 20 dols and used even cheaper. It looks like it took some effort. It looks old the clear plastic cover has been yellowed with age or a lot of cigg smoke! just kidding I think. I will send some scans I'm sick right now and need to get ink for my stupid scanner to run.  It starts out with a page that says table of contents 189 pages the last page is talking about getting down from climbing there is no index in the rear of the book it just ends.

They look a lot like my "beta" PHB and DMG books, although my PHB has a blue color covering, and the DMG has a brown color covering... and they are "pressed/bound" as opposed to spiral bound... I'll try to get some pictures posted soon...
