I continue to work on it.  A number of technical issues cropped up which have been mostly resolved, but took a lot of time.  No date set yet.

I see things happening...

I LOVE the Value Updated column - I'm always correcting people in other forums who don't understand.

Do you think the Page Updated column could be something more descriptive?  Information Page Updated?  Details Updated?  Something like that.

Due to space considerations, it has to be two words maximum.  I can't think of a better word than "Page", that won't cause further confusion.  I'm open to suggestions.

Like any of these?

Information Updated
Details Updated
Article Updated
Section Updated

Maybe it's just visual?  Put a bit of space between that column and the beginning or the pricing info?  Or maybe move Price Updated adjacent to that column?  I'm spitballing... I'm just sick of explaining on other forums that the prices do get updated, so I want to find a way to make it as clear as possible.

Did the site index page just change? Before it looked like these nice clear boxes and now it seems to be a haze of brown around the sections without a defined border. Gives me a headache. Is this just my browser? Any way to get the old look back?

The homepage did change.  If it doesn't look like the attached image, then yes, you need to upgrade your browser.  I've tested it in Internet Explorer and Chrome, which covers most of the major browser rendering engines, and it looks fine to me.  The old homepage has been retired.

BTW, if the new homepage or indexes are not showing up for you, you need to refresh your browser's cache (pressing F5 will usually do it).

If you are obsessive-compulsive, press F5 repeatedly.
If you are co-dependent, please ask someone to press F5 for you.
If you have multiple personalities, get them all to press F5.
If you are paranoid, we know who you are and what you want, and we'll press F5 for you.
If you are delusional, press F5 and your signal will be transferred to the Mothership.
If you are schizophrenic, listen carefully and a small voice will tell you which number to press.
If you are manic-depressive, it doesn't matter what you press, no-one cares.
If you have a nervous disorder, please press everything until something happens.
If you have post-traumatic stress disorder, slowly and carefully press F5.

Thanks for the changes and for the prices update.

I find the new look nice.  Tables seem easier to read, updated prices for many items are also very welcome.

If I'm correct, most prices are going up (like nearly everything nowadays). I'm however a bit surprised by the down indicator for the 10th Anniversary Combo Packs (- 18 %) : I've not noticed such trend for the recent auctions I followed. Representative stats are not easy to get for such uncommon items. I just wonder how tthe prices are determined for such items ? Recently, some packs were sold on Ebay with many flaws, shrink torn, modules damaged.... I wonder if it explains the decrease. Specifically considering the 10th aniversary bonus packs, I think a mean price is not the good indicator. Some packs are quite easier to find and at a decent price (less than $100 like stated in the table), typically those having two modules like the L1/L2. Some other packs are very hard to find in near mint condition with a shrink intact. Such packs end generally over $200. I would suggest (if possible) either to mention a price range for the category or to split into several categories. One last comment : if the prices have been updated in the main table, I do not see recent auction prices at the bottom of the page related to the packs (and it seems the same for each other page). Is there a chance we could get an updated infomation there as well, so as to be as coherent as possible with the main tables ?

Anyway, many thanks for the nice and appreciated update.

Glad you've liked it!  However, it's not a full and proper site update, which is why I haven't formally announced anything.  I needed to put the homepage and index pages up in order to adjust them, live.  I did put the most recent Valuation Board prices in there, but there's a huge caveat: the Board has been pretty much inactive for the last two years or so.  Some auctions were recorded during that timeframe, but many were missed.  The Board has been resurrected now, but updated values will take a few months to collate and publish.

The above should explain that.  Of the values that did get recorded, the price trended down, but there were certainly some missed which might have counteracted that.  Note, too, that for rarer items -- those with less auction history -- a single auction can have a large impact on the value.  You might not have noticed the sale of a 10th Combo Pack for $5 (for instance), but that sale crushed the value.  Thankfully, there's several checks in place to help counteract these swings; a pretty lengthy description of the system can be found in the site Formulas FAQ: http://www.acaeum.com/frontdesk/formulas.html .

We don't use mean price.  Condition is factored into the equation.

We could, but it would drastically increase the workload.  Also, for items that don't have any auction history (A C1/C2/C3 Combo Pack, for instance), we'd be left with just making up a placeholder value -- which would cause even more controversy.

For items that have multiple printings (and the Combo Packs could sorta be defined as "multiple printings"), just assume that the values listed are an average value for a typical printing.  Some of the rarer Combo Packs will probably go for more; some of the more common ones, a little less.

One last comment : if the prices have been updated in the main table, I do not see recent auction prices at the bottom of the page related to the packs (and it seems the same for each other page). Is there a chance we could get an updated infomation there as well, so as to be as coherent as possible with the main tables?

Short answer: those values are just leftover remnants of the days when I recorded sales and estimated the values all by myself.  They're hopelessly out of date, and I don't really see much need for them any more, so they'll be deleted soon.  The auction values that the VB records will not be publicly listed, per the site FAQ: http://www.acaeum.com/frontdesk/faq.html#6.

Me too.  :)  Except since selling my collection a few years back (and not buying or selling anything since), I really don't have a handle on the marketplace anymore.  Maybe I can put a bid out for a guest author.  Any volunteers?
