Hi All,

I recently noticed that I have a (seemingly) unusual copy of Men & Magic.  Perhaps someone here can help me identify it?

This copy of M&M is one of a full set of 3LBBs without a box (in case the other volumes can help identify it).

Feature of the booklet in question include:
. Foot warrior on cover of M&M,
. No price on cover,
. GK logo,
. Parchment coloured inside cover,
. No printing information on the inside cover/title page,
. Halflings and Treants mentioned on p9.

All of the above points to a plain old 6th print (1977 -- 1979).

However, page 19 of this particular booklet does not state: "All attacks which score hits score 1-6 points of damage unless otherwise noted."

I have (what I believe are) 6th and 5th prints which do state the above, as well as 3rd and 1st prints which do not state the above.

So the question is... where does this particular booklet fit in?

Comparing the 6th print variants of M&M I have access to, the copy in question does not have a column of prices down the right hand side of the last page.  

The other copies I have do have a column of prices down the right hand side of the last page.


Regarding the cover stock; the copy in question is certainly darker, but it is not glossy at all.  I do have one of the "darker glossy" cover stock copies, and this one is pretty much the same colour, but it is certainly not in the least bit glossy.


So... are we saying it is probably a 7th print without the "damage text" on page 19?
