Hello I'm Wargames-east (and Wargames-east2) on ebay.  I have been a collector and player since 1978.  I'm a power seller have been selling on ebay since 2001.  My name is Dave I came here both to introduce myself and also to allow people the opportunity to send me any questions they might have.  I have been entertaining a lot of questions about some of the items I'm selling, and as a result I thought I'd like to let people have access to me so they can get the answers from me.

Like all of you I love the game and I love the exchange of creativity and energy.  Its a lot more about the unlimited creativity, than anything for me.  I started playing and writing and DM-ing in 1978.  I was 11 years old and just about as in love with D&D as anyone could be.  I had a huge group of friends who also enjoyed playing and where I grew up in the Berkshires, it was a great way to spend a bad winter.

I play 2nd edition via Skype (I just started playing recently for the first time since 1992).

I am an avid collector, and just got my first copy or R-1.  This year I have dropped a LOT of coin on buying collections.  I have been farming craig's list like you read about.  And though I didn't set out to do it, I have a pretty huge D20 collection now as well as the older stuff.  I've been seeling off doubles and more than doubles for this whole summer.  I have to confess that I have a tough time letting stuff go even if I "only have one copy" for myself."  But I am shaving down what I have.

My 2300 square foot basement is nearly filled with stuff.  I say this because recently and for the second time I have been the subject of attacks from "Tony" or Robert Callahan, or whatever he calls himself lately.  Briefly, he was my business partner.  That did NOT end well.  I won't go into it now unless you care to ask, but it was NOT good, and I became convinced that he was a lunatic who was at least claiming that he was dragging me through the mud on this forum.  So here I am.  If anyone has questions, comments or suggestions, I'm here to hear what people have to say.

I would LOVE to hear any tales regaring your encounters with Mr. Callahan that are either similar or have to do with me.

Welcome, Dave.

We have been on Tony/James/Robert/JonB/Whoever's track for almost a decade, there is an entire thread about his antics, under many of his different identities.  Sorry you have had to put up with this. Has anyone he contacted forwarded the emails to ebay?  What he is doing is specifically outlawed and should get him kicked off (for about the 100th time).

Hi Mike.  That's about what I figured from the reaction of the woman on ebay who was talking to me on the phone yesterday.  I guess they can't say too much, but reading between the lines, it seems as though she was well aware of this guy.  I don't know if Guido the gypsie or Intelligator are on here or not, but Callahan also was talking mad crap about them.  Its like the guy is so insane, he has no idea that I buy from and sell to those guys all the time and I have NEVER had a problem with either one of them.  Thier stuff is not only authentic and well packaged, but their service is absolutely top notch.

I knew then that he was off rocker.  I just didn't know if he was gaining any support in his campaign to attack everyone on this forum, because I had never been on this or any forum before.

I have to say the one benefit from this scum bag bothering me and others, is that I found this forum, which seems to be my kind of place.

Dave
