I didn't find this posted in another thread, but I noticed an art change between two printings I have of C1.

In my 2nd print mono's illustration booklet, illustration #5 by Dave Laforce is vertically oriented with sketchier-looking art. His initials are signed on the lower right.

In my 5th print dark brown illustration booklet, illustration #5's art has been replaced with horizontally oriented cleaner art, and it is signed "DSL '81" on the lower left.

If someone has a 3rd and 4th print, could you check some things on the illustration booklets? (I would assume the 3rd print is the same as the 2nd)
1. Which illustration is used?
2. What is printed at the bottom of the front of the illustration booklet?
    Copyright date?
    TSR logo?
    "TSR Games" or "TSR Hobbies, Inc."?
    Address?
    ISBN
    Printed in USA?

Last question: Was the illustration booklet included with Lost Tamoachan? I (unfortunately) don't have that...yet

I noticed that change in the C1 artwork back in '06 (man, I've been hanging out here for a long time...). There's a similar type of change in the Monster Manual, where an early version of one of the demons by DCS is replaced later by a better version by the same artist. I think S3 has a similar type of change as well.

Here's other C1 changes I noted:

The maps inside the cardstock cover of C1 were completely re-drawn so that North points left in the color module instead of towards the top of the page as in the mono. Originally, the map was discontinous. The change allows for a map that flow continuously from the right side of the cover to left. The drawback is having North point left.

Not much other change to the content; I think I spotted one sentence that was added to the color C2.

Did Lost Tamoachan come with a map booklet?
