Today I installed a chat module, accessible from the top of the screen ("mChat").  The link will turn red when people are in the chatroom.  Additionally, a list of folks inside the chat is now at the bottom of the Index page, under Who Is Online.

Besides normal chat functions, there's an "Archive" button which will let you view every message ever posted in the chat.  If this gets too extreme I can set a purge value (only keep 100 posts, etc), but we'll see how it goes.

A few options can be configured via your User Control Panel.

If the chat window looks messed up, you probably have an ad blocker up.  Disable it for this site.

I tried /roll and /help but didn't get anything. Perhaps I tried incorrectly. Or there are no commands other than changing the view of text, somewhat like we can do in a post (bold, italics, quoting, etc)?

I like it. Simple and easy to use. Sometimes, people go nuts with chat systems and implement all manner of customized features (like complex dice rolling systems). And, you've got Smurf smilies. Probably my favorite thing is that you can edit a chat message. Heh.

Oh, and when I go into it, the mChat link turns red, fyi. But, I noticed that the "users chatting" did not list anyone, or a number. I don't blame the configuration though -- it's probably blank because I log in invisible.

Couldn't get the silly "mChat" button to successfully light up when someone's in the chat.  Additionally, the list at the bottom of the index of who's in the chat was borked up, too, so I yanked it.  Sorry everybody.  The good news is that the chatroom itself seems to work just fine.

Works from my iPhone now too.. I think I'll try it on the iPad though, screen and therefore keypad is bigger....

That happened to me when I had my ad blocker (Ad Block Plus) activated.

I use Chrome on a PC as well, and it works fine.  If it's not an extension or something else that's blocking it... do you have the latest Java for Chrome installed (java.com)?
