I recently bought a Spelljammer box on e-bay. The contects are in pristine/perfect condition, but the box itself looks like this:

Maybe the pics are not very clear, but on the outside the box has a discolored corner, and that corners feels to the touch like an orange skin.

The "mold" seems completely dry, but it smells kinda bad.

Do you think it is mold? And is it dangerous to put the books back in, and even more, to put it in my library?

Picture number three has what looks like it could be mold but its kind of hard to tell from the photo.  It could just be color bleed from the outer part of the box getting wet.  If any of the area that got wet has little black specks in it you can be sure it is/was mold and you should get rid of the box.  Especially if the bad smell is a damp, musty smell.  If it smells like cat piss you're probably ok since ammonia usually kills mold spores.

I like that. This is one time that cat piss is the better option  

Also, I agree with all of the above. You might be lucky in this case
