Hi folks,

I have bought some old D&D modules from what is clearly a smokers home. They were very cheap, so I dont complain, however, do you have any advice on how to get rid of the smell of smoke?

If this was my clothes, I would wash it.. clearly that would not be adviceable. However, often, when returning from a smokefilled party, my party-dress seem to "air out" the smell, when exposed to enough fresh clean air (like, 2-3 days outside.. yes.. i dont know how i happened to come by this knowledge, but I accidently just.. left my clothes.. outside.. for three days.. ahem.). Do anyone know if the same "Hang it outside and air-vent" will work for booklets - or do you have any other advice?

Over here, you can usually buy a deodorizer that probably has "active charcoal" in it.  They are suggested for places that get damp, etc.  For a big round puck in a plastic case with vents they are around $5.  Put the books in a box with one of these let it sit for a few weeks and the odor will be gone.

I used the inexpensive air-it-out method with Dragon magazines.  I just left them out, turning one page every three days.  I took a long time, but it got rid of 99% of the smell.  I also don't have any munchkins or pets around to potentially mess things up which you may need to consider.     8)

What is this deodorizer? Do you have a link, as I would love to give that solution a try ( I need the link to find a Danish equivilant :) )

Outside air-venting is my default behaviour, however, ... it a lot of books with a lot of pages :D
