I know there have been a few outages recently, but is anyone else in the US having time issues? That is, the time for newly listed auctions was usually pretty consistent, appearing slightly behind my time zone (Eastern). Now suddenly, the times shown are ahead of my time zone, so while it is now 4PM Eastern US, newly listed auctions are showing up as 20:00, or 8PM.

What gives? I had considered that maybe somewhere in my settings my set time zone went kablooey, but I can't find a setting preference for that. Not sure there ever was one...  :?

I went to go list a few things as 30-day BIN auctions and found that they were not charging any fee.  It would charge me a fee if I listed them as auction-style but not as fixed-price so I listed about 50 items.  I'm not aware of any promotion currently on for this so I think it might have been a bug in their system too.  I had already used my 50 free auction-style listings for April.

There is a promotion for free fixed price listings through May 1st, I believe.

That is sweet!  I try to only list stuff on no fee days - even insertion fees add up quick.  I don't remember getting any email about this promotion and listed a couple things 5 days ago and ended up paying the 50 cent fee.

Time: They seem to be working on it. I've had the times change from correct to screwy from page to page. New thing though, it's not holding photo size defaults in viewed listings. This coupled with the outages they've had, and EBay seems to be having some issues keeping things up and running.

Maybe if they just learned to leave well enough alone...

On free listings: It's been recent policy for a number of months in the US that the first 50 listings were free even with BINs. I've been doing so for quite a while now. I did get a notice that for the next couple of days, fixed listings were free.
