Do they exist?  Been asking about this for a while now.  I sort of half thought they might show up after the passing of our dearly beloved Gary Gygax, but alas, no trace of them or any concrete information on their existence has surfaced as far as I know, but then again, there was a period recently when I missed a shitload of activity here.  

How exactly were they "used as tournament modules at Origins '78"?  The fact that this is acknowledged suggests there was some prepublication iteration of them actually used as tourney mods.  Anyone have any factual information to that end?  Who would've thought that the original printing plates to the "re-called" printing of OB3 would have been easier to find than the original G-series tourney pre-pubs?

I did ask Frank a few years ago, and he supplied an interesting answer that I've since forgotten.  Maybe he'll pop up in here and help us out again.  I agree though, they must be out there somewhere...

No shock there. Seems they had an express lane to that f..king dumpster. But there had to be dozens of DM copies of the tournament modules. Those events were pretty damn big back then. I played in the A series tournament and there were a bunch of teams and DMs, unless I am confusing it with something else. I get those early Gen Cons mixed up sometimes. I think it might have been the first I attended.

IIRC Paul Stormberg has copies of the G/D tourney modules.

Allan, do you know if these were copies he made of masters that were auctioned off?  Or are we talking copies in the sense of the actual physical items used at the tourney/s?

I don't know whether Paul has master copies from the G/D tourneys, or copies made and played with/used to run the tourneys.  My guess is the latter.  I haven't seen these sold before, in either version.
