$149.00 is a stupid price for this, at open auction this may go in the $30-$40 range

That's mine, chuckle.  It's not rare at all.  You can find one just anywhere you look.  

Feel free to wait until you find one for $30.  The lower the price goes the more competition there will be for it though.  That's how demand curves function.  

I usually don't sell rare things at the high demand section of the price curve.  It's too easy to just sell some mass produced mini's or common players handbooks to get $30.  The rare items generally stay rare.

If I ever decide to auction this, I will post it in the classified.  Rare things are odd at auction.  Usually there is less interest than one expects.  Then again, sometimes we are all left scratching our heads at why two people bid that much.  

Welcome to collecting D&D and to Acaeum.  Have fun and try not to get to stressed about this stuff.  Collecting should mainly be fun and a trip down memory lane.

I think your comment is directed at yourself here. No one is stressed about any of it except for yourself. And you have a serious history going back many years of putting stress into auctions ... and not just on ebay.

The only thing I recall when I purchased this BITD from a local Electronics Boutique is using it extensively.    My first mini paint set. The Armory paints did the job adequately, though in a very basic fashion, as there were not nearly enough colors. A shame to see The Armory gone. I lived across town at the time, but I'm now about 15-20 minutes from their last location.

I know you all just love your bosses, lol.  Especially the ones who get the job done in a budget crisis.  

It's also a matter of record that I agreed with many of the concerns and quit at the end of September.  You want to schedule people for evening and weekend events when you can't give overtime?  I sure didn't like it.  

Six and a half years as a museum director in one job is more than twice the national average.  Although it's not really anyone's business, since I am no longer a public figure, I am spending time with my family and finishing an MBA this spring.  I am fortunate that I can do both.

And, misterspock, casting stones is ironic.  Those weren't even covers you are still so upset about years later.  Just make me an offer for them and quit crying, lol.

Don't worry about stirring things up, it is a national pastime here on the Acaeum  

Anyway I would wait for a less expensive copy of that set, they are available.
