Sure looks like this is true.  If so, after thinking for a little while, it seems to me nothing changes for me.  I enjoy Janell's art and writing.  I have four oringinal art pieces signed by "Paul" and look forward to having some signed by Janell.   I wish her well and look forward to talking to her at the 2012 NTRPGcom if she attends.

From Jaquay's facebook page:

"11. I have no interest in stealing away anyone's sexual partner."

Sounds fair to me.

"18. I have no interest in denying anyone insurance-paid access to any type of necessary health care procedure. In fact, you'd probably be pretty upset if I lobbied to deny you healthcare coverage for things like ... oh, maternity care, or cancer treatment, or gall bladder removal because they added to my insurance premium cost. Generally speaking, even the most expensive procedures that directly relate to treating my Gender Identity Dysphoria condition are cheaper than many procedures you take for granted in your health care coverage. Something to think about and discuss with your own insurance provider. Doing so may save a life."

Bill, are you posting the link because it tangentially relates to Obamacare?

No.
I am posting this because I thought it was shocking.
I have no idea why you would make that connection. A person's medical/health care is none of my business. There is nothing political about this situation and people who want to go there are simply wrong.

Umm, interesting, I guess. To each his (or her rather) own.

What I find troubling is:

Jaquays wrote:14.Not that I expect this, but please don't pull a "God guilt trip" on me. You see, I believe that God does not make mistakes. Psalm 139:13-16 describes His knowledge of me before birth. He made me as I am in all ways; EXACTLY as I am -- which means that God had a reason to make me transgender. I believe God made me different, NOT wrong.  There was a reason for it. It just took me a very long time for me to understand and accept it.

Much as I look down on people who go through such bizarre psychological contortions to come to grips with life (and by that I mean both "accepting Christ" and "reassignment" with equal disdain), I do truly hope for this person's sake that there's no "seller's remorse" sometime down the road, and feel a degree of sympathy with the anquish that someone must have to experience to come to this sort of decision.

There is no disconnect between being a Christian Conservative and what Jannell has articulated.....only what other people interpret. Jannell has found a spot where she can both retain her beliefs and be true to what she has felt inside her entire life. Doug and I (and the NTRPG con) support her, and she will be attending as usual in 2012.

Jannell just posted this:

I still consider myself to be both Christian and pretty conservative in most things. That may be a hard stretch for some to accept. It's been a tough part of my own journey. God and I still talk. He mostly just listens. But that's enough for me.

Methinks someone missed the part of the Christian Bible where God forbade the wearing of the other sex's clothing and referring to such activity as an abomination (or disgusting, depending on the translation) - Deuteronomy 22:5. God had a reason to make him an abomination? There's logic for ya.

If he's as much a Christian as he claims, he's making a mistake. Big time.

No, I don't think doing so for a play or movie counts.

Jannell just posted this:

I am with you on that. As a catholic and as a conservative, my opinion is that Paul is free to make his own decisions. I do feel sympathy that he is going through this. I can't imagine that sort of issue. Of course I have my own opinion, but it is just that. It really does not matter what anyone thinks other than Paul/Jannell. That said, people will have reactions and that will range from uncomfortable to opposition to agreement. And that is perfectly normal. This situation is abnormal by any stretch of the imagination. I just hope he finds peace.

First off, it's not my place to judge someone for what they feel they need to do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. That's an odd statement from me based on my up bringing, but over the years I have learned to let other do their thing if it isn't hurting others.

Jennell will be at NTRPGCon 2012 as far as I know. It also appears she may bring her new girlfriend. In case you didn't read all the details, Jennell met someone in October in California. I know not who she is but Jennell did have this to say about her:

"She is also a game developer with a career history as lengthy and high profile as mine."

So we might end up with an additional special guest, again I have no clue.

In an email to Jennell, I made a comical reference that old product signed by both Paul & Jennell might be worth more one day. In the last email to me, Jannell made the following statement:

"I will also sign old product with whatever name is asked (as long as it's one of mine). Not an issue. "

So you can still get your items signed as Paul if you like.

Hope to see you at NTPRGCon 2012, nothing will change as long as Jennell wants to attend each year. And I believe Jennell will be doing another custom logo for the Con in 2012 (at least I have a rough draft in hand, so I hope it gets completed)

Doug,

That sounds awesome.  Looks like Jennell has a better handle on this than a few other people.

The 2012 NTRPGcon is coming together nicely.  Well done.

We are all of us brides of Christ. (Matthew 25:8 ) In the world that is to come, will you have your wedding gown fitted in time for the feast?
