What to do with my OCE in Shrink

I have an OCE white box in shrink that I picked up a few years ago and I realize i don't have much room or use for it. Plus i'm scared i'm going to ruin it (or the shrink will rip since it so old) So I've been thinking of getting rid of it.

What the best way to sell it. EBay? Here? Game convention auction.

What the going rate for OCE in shrink? I bought it about 9 year ago but i'm pretty sure i may have over paid for it.

Personally I'd go with the Classifieds here and invite offers if you have a price in mind. Might even be interested myself lol

Value - No idea, but I'm sure there are a dozen or more members who have a good idea of the current OCE market.

If you put it on eBay, you can bank of losing 15% of the sale price in eBay and PayPal fees, but you can be sure you'd get the highest price the market at present will provide.

If you sell through the classifieds directly to the collector, you won't get maximum price, but you also won't pay eBay's protion of the fees, and the buyers do know the value of the products they are buying fairly well, so you're unlikely to get ripped off.

Either way, big clear photos are your best asset in getting a good price. small or crap photos are the biggest defecit in most people's listings.

Actually, timebeing, there is another alternative. There is a member here (Smarmy1) who has built a state of the art "Shrink Vault" complete with Time Lock door, visible and invisible lasers, and motion sensors to keep those who would deshrink items (the scum-sucking bastards) away from the shrink. I'm sure he would agree to store the item for you until you can determine the right course of action.

Depending on the condition of the box, the integrity of the shrink, and how minty white the box looks, a good price for an OCE in shrink is easily $300 to $350. If you have time, post some pics, and as always, I will be happy to provide it a safe and nurturing home in the Shrink Vault.

Quantum physics is clear on the matter: each shinkwrapped item might or might not contain SchrÃ¶dinger's cat. If a 30-year-old D&D box does in fact contain the cat, after so much time it is surely dead. Would you really want to find the remains? If it has somehow survived, then it will seek revenge upon whomever opens the box. Therefore, the only rational conclusion is to leave the shrinkwrap on.

ok i'll get some pics up soon. It not perfect shrink. There is a hole or 2. there is some fading where the hole is, but if anything that shows you it was the original shrink. Everything else is very white.
