I continue my obsession with Warriors of Mars, having acquired the other two (minty) Gygax copies and now the working (blue-penciled) copy.

Those poster prices are quite interesting... Tempts me to dig out some of mine.

I want some sharp looking almost minty fresh posters to put in frames for the Con, and these will look nice

Sorry, but not only are the minty, they were Gary's as well ... never seen them so pretty !

I was going to make a donation to the Gary Gygax foundation, would love to have offered $10,000 and get all the posters in return...

I figured since NTRPGCon is an RPG Con, I'd stick with heavy bidding on the RPG posters and let the other game type posters go.

Paid off, actually came in under $10,000 by about $2338

I'll have them all framed at on the walls at the Con in June

Being a cheapskate myself, the amount Doug paid makes me swoon. I hope he doesn't plan on adding this amount into the yearly con budget.  But it was great we could keep them all together and we will be able to display them to the public at NTRPG con for years to come. Awesome.

As for duplicates, I believe it was mine and Doug's understanding that many of these (if not all) are the only one's in EGG's collection. Even if not, we have been assured of their condition, which is solid.  In this case I believe the prices are pretty reasonable (near mint condition, belonging to EGG), plus the fact that gaming posters themselves, especially promotional posters, were not collected with the zeal of other items and seem to be very, very hard to find.

Nope, other than the obvious signs (noted in the description) that it has been used in play. I found no marginal notes or other writing by EGG, though I was sorta hoping I would .



EDIT: I've turned the majority of my (steadily dwindling anyway) RPG collection over to my two boys to play with, which is the reason for selling this particular item. The price I'm asking is somewhat less than I paid, so for those interested in this item it's being offered for less than it probably would go for were it auctioned by the Collector's Trove again..
