One thing I like about buying used and OP is quite a few times people sell stuff with things they left in the book or markings that are interesting to look at - kind of like an insight into someone's campaign or such.  I've seen stuff written in margins, spell sheets and other things (I got a copy of the Fiend Folio with the RPGA questionnaire in the back filled out).

Anyway, I just picked up copies of the 1st printing 2E PHB and DMG and in the PHB I found this map.  Just a rough marker-type map but interesting nonetheless.  Here's a photo of it (it's on a huge piece of newsprint, too big to fit in my scanner - click on the thumbnail for the full size):

Being a buyer and seller, I have run into some interesting things inside books/collections... but something pretty weird came into my possession recently....

Inside of a manual was the schedule of operations for a hospital... with patient/doctor names, times and procedures...

everything from appendectomy to bronchoscopy to laser cone cervix (whatever that is)
