I've made a couple of payments today, and I have noticed that in the eBay UK checkout system, they no longer confirm to you what your funding source is on the Confirm Transaction page.

You still get the page that allows you to select the payment source, but when you hit 'next' and you go onto the Confirmation page, there is no dispayed message confirming that you have dialed in your funding source correctly, and you have no way of knowing where the money is goping to come from when you press 'Confirm'.

Has anyone else noticed this change and is it something that bothers you, or are you happy without that final confirmation that all is well before you commit. At the moment I have to log on to PayPal after each purchase and look at the transaction entry and check to see what the funding source was, just so I'm sure the funding is coming from the correct location.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

If I understand what you mean, then it's been this way in the US for some time. No worse than having to log in to eBay France to delete my "Purchase History", I guess :), but yeah, a pain nonetheless.

Yes, it's very irritating.  Been this way in the U.S. for a while.

I also dislike that they won't allow you to change the default funding source.

Nice trick there with eBay.fr, I just went and used it to tidy up all the BS eBay UK are displaying.

It lets you change the funding source; you just have to do it one screen earlier.

Glad you like it. You can do it with eBay.it, and probably some others as well. I read French a bit better than Italian or German, so I went with that one. I wish I understood the mentality that makes eBay oblivious to its customers' dissatisfaction with the UI, but then again I wish I understood a lot of things..
