Say hello to my little French...module with an alternate cover.
I looked through the threads as much as possible, but I didn't see any mention of X2 showing up with the original Otus art on the front cover. Has anyone seen this before?
I do have a
SW version of the X2 with the Roslof-cover that matches what is posted here
http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/modpage ... rench.html
but I don't want to open it up to check out the differences between this Otus-cover version. So, if anyone has the Roslof-cover version open, could you see if there's any differences on the title page? Let me know if you want me to scan in any other pages, too.
btw, the backside of the last page is blank.
I bought two of these modules and they are identical to each other.
edit: I do think this one is an earlier printing than the Roslof-covered version. The Roslof version on the back has copyright dates of 1981, 1983, 1986 TSR, Inc.. The Otus version only has copyright dates of 1981, 1983 TSR, Inc.
Aside from the alt cover, some differences I've noted between the English version versus this one:
The maps in the middle of the booklet are ordered differently, with the Province d'Averoigne as the first, the interior of the chateau as the second page (backside), the dungeon as the third page, and next, the tomb with the illustration above it (backside)
The pronunciation guide at the end was obviously omitted.
There is an advertisement on the last page for Star Frontiers Alpha Dawn (in French). "Star Frontiers game Alpha Dawn" was not translated into French, but the rest of the box is.
