NTX AD&D Tournament: Raid on the Acaeum
North Texas RPG Con AD&D Open Tournament
First Round: Saturday, 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Second Round: Saturday, 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

DM: Bill Barsh & TBD
Game title: TM3 Raid on the Acaeum
Game system : AD&D 1st Edition
Number of players : 8
Pregens/Level of characters : 5th to 7th, Pregens provided
World/Setting : Pacesetter Games CS
Time needed : 3.5 Hour Time Limit per round

Tournament description: Teams will compete to win the second annual NTX AD&D Tournament. Each team will include up to eight players who will use their skills to gain points as they move throughout the scenario. Teams will play in both rounds on Saturday.

Color Description: When the cataclysm came, the black gates of the Acaeum were sealed and only a very few have entered the vast halls of the mysterious mountain citadel. Fewer still survived their expedition. Their reports are vague and confused. They have reported that some of the Keepers (those who maintained the endless libraries of the citadel) still hold power in portions of the citadel and it's subterranean halls. But the majority of the complex has been infested with undead (certainly forces generated by the cataclysm) and numerous monsters that sought refuge in the early days of the undead cataclysm that over-ran most of the island continent. Your party has been hired to penetrate the Acaeum and retrieve certain books and tomes. The task will be deadly, but death may just be the least of your worries!

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Gee Bill, your Acaeum is nothing like my Acaeum.

Is Foul the BigBadGuy?

(Mine is a large reference complex and university in a major city. Blackmoor the Barbarian has been there...)

Well, you will either have to play in the tourney, or buy a copy that Saturday night to find out...:D

Actually, I have not decided how or if I will handle real Acaeum members vs. Fictional characters.

It's right across the freeway from the 1st NTRPG con we had in the La Quinta.

10 minutes away from DFW airport, with full shuttle service. Just down the way from Texas Land and Cattle, and walking distance from Whataburger, Ihop, Schlotskys, China Dragon, and a Quik Trip.  Lots of other restaurants about a mile away (Chilis, Duke's Roadhouse, BoomerJacks)

And no Allan definitely not Dallas!  Unless you are an out of stater and think every suburb around Dallas is basically Dallas....

In 2009 - in Bedford, in 2010 & 2011 - Irving in 2012, back to Bedford, Tx

Like Bedford, England !

So no reason for you not to come, just fly into DFW airport. Piece of cake form there.

Hey Mike,

Heh, I thought the same thing. :)

You said it was 10 minutes away from the Dallas airport so figured must be in Dallas. :)

Best regards,
Ronald

Oddly enough, DFW airport resides on two fingers of land that extrude from both Dallas and Fort Worth and join together.  Dallas is actually much farther east, past Irving. Fort Worth is even farther west than that.
