Hi all,
 If everything goes as planned we will be releasing Die Cast Games second module "ACM1-The Kingslayers" at the fast growing North Texas RPG Convention.  Game design is by the Acaeum's own Martin Britt (Prufroc) and he co-wrote it with his friends Mark J. Mayhew and Bill Stoltzfus.  Cover and interior artwork is by the talented Jason Braun.  The cover (loose, of course) has a really nice full-color wilderness map by Casie Polanco on the inner left half and an "old school" blue dungeon map on the other half.  It is 40 pages long with 19 pieces of original artwork and 3 more "encounter" maps.  The PCs you play are picked from the "Acaeum Roster" appendix.  You will certainly recognize many of the names.  

  Martin plans on hand numbering each copy of the adventure.  Before anyone gets worried we should have plenty and will be selling them on our website www.shop.diecastgamesinc.com shortly after the con.  They will be the exact same modules that we sell at North Texas.  You get the same nice heavy-weight paper stock and UV coated cover that our previous modules used.  And the best thing.....only $13.50 each for a 40 page module!  Did we just go back in time?

  I am sure Martin will have more to add.  Maybe even a few hints on what the adventure entails (HINT: Break out your Manual of the Planes).

I had a couple of goals in mind when I started this project.

1.  Provide an adventure that was different from the norm.
2.  Use the Acaeum as a center piece for the adventure.
3.  Create a product with fantastic artwork.

Kingslayers is not a dungeon crawl.  That's been done.  Kingslayers is more in-line with a quest type of adventure.  There are no dragons guarding hordes of treasure.  The players greatest reward is surviving the adventure.  Good luck to you - you'll need it.

I wrote the adventure with the idea of challenging well seasoned 1E players.  If the party does not use their heads as well as their blades they will die.  I also provided a good amount of fun, or at least what I call fun.  You'll have to decide for yourselves if that is an accurate statement.

Blackmoor, Killjoy, Smarmy, Beasterbrook, Lucy Joyce and many more of you have been made into pre-gen characters.  Players will select 6 to 8 pre-gens to begin that adventure.  I'm going to keep the plot secret for now, but here's a little hint - The being that inhabit the plane of limbo fear no man, or dwarf, or elf.

Jason Braun did a fantastic job witht he artwork.  I could not be more happy with old school style.  You've seen the cover work - wait till you see the inside.

Sorry, not doing pre-orders.  I will announce open sales within a couple of days of the end of the convention.  We are trying to have enough 1st prints made to cover con sales and the expected amount of Acaeum/Dragonsfoot orders with some left to stock the site for a bit.   There will be no limit on purchase quantity so when sales start you may not want to wait too long  

That sounds like a great adventure, indeed! I will be sure to pick up the post-convention release of the adventure. (Gaming conventions, to be perfectly frank, creep me out. The last one I attended was well over twenty years ago, and I am still trying to get the stink of body odor exuded by the largely unwashed attendees out of my clothes).
