I'm referring to the US magazine edited by Scott Haring. I got a truckload (literally: five boxes!) of old and vintage stuff yesterday and - lo and behold - I found The Gamer issues 3, 4 and 5. After buying from Troll & Toad issue 2 (the one with the Gary Gygax interview along Don Turnbull and Kim Mohan scathing comments on him...) I was already impressed by the magazine's mature tone and outspoken coverage, but after reading these new issues I was VERY impressed. Does anybody know how long the magazine lasted before folding out? Has anybody any issues to sell/trade?  8)

According to the RPGGeek database, "at least twelve issues plus one GenCon/Origins special issue were published". Alas, I've never seen even a single issue, so I don't have anything more than that link to contribute :(

These turned into newspapers rather than magazines after issue 5(?) and I think they went up to 24 or something around there.  The newspapers are very tough to find.

Kim Mohan scathing Gygax? I hadn't heard of this before.

Yes. Albeit he was no as severe as Don Turnbull, Kim Mohanm was pretty harsh speaking about Gary Gygax's business and management  skills.
