Looks like we have a spammer in the classifieds and the wiki. I didn't even click on the threads because the titles are the kind of misdirected crap that I've started to see in spam posts and emails.

I don't get why a spammer would even bother with a small forum like this. Is this a bot or a real live person?

Odds are that it's a new development in a bot that's able to overcome the anti-bot signup procedutes. Either that ot the chineze are so desperate for work, they're employing people to manually sign up and create accounts and then letting loose the bots when the accounts are active. As to why, spammers bet paid per hit or per pop-up request, so the more they place anywhere online increases their income. It doesn't matter where the adverst are, it only matters how many or laid down.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

As mbassoc2003 guessed, most of the spammers that are slipping through are actual humans who are paid to register on a board. The bots are then fed these accounts to post a smattering of spam and then disappear.

Other than manually deleting them once spotted, there's not much defense. Thankfully, they often provide useful shopping links in their posts.
